Seizure timer and first aid, one tap away.

Steady times a seizure, shows whoever is helping what your care plan says to do and when, and keeps a log your neurologist can read in a minute. For people with epilepsy and the people who look after them.

What it does

Made for the minutes that matter, and the days in between.

01When a seizure starts

Tap once. The timer starts.

  • Start it in the app, or on iPhone from a lock-screen widget, Siri or the Action button.
  • Whoever is helping sees a card to read to the emergency operator: the name, seizure type and rescue medication.
  • Prompts arrive at the minutes your care plan sets, such as rescue medication at 3 and a call at 5.
  • Call, or text your contacts with a map link. Steady opens your phone's dialer or messages, and you tap Send.
At 3 minutes the timer says to give rescue medication now, as the care plan sets.

02Afterwards

Say what happened. You check it before it saves.

  • The start time and length are saved from the timer. Add the rest now or later.
  • Speak or type what you saw, and Steady fills in the form for you to check.
  • Log a seizure that happened without the timer, too.
  • History keeps every seizure, by month, in your own words.
A new entry: speak or type what happened, with the time already saved from the timer.

03Every day

Doses, reminders, and what's left today.

  • Reminders for each medication at the times you choose.
  • Mark doses as taken, and see the last 30 days at a glance.
  • Today shows the days since the last seizure and today's medication on one screen.
The Meds screen: today's doses marked as taken and a 30-day record of doses.

04At the appointment

A summary your neurologist can read in a minute.

  • Reports for the last 30, 90 or 180 days: how many seizures, how often, and the longest seizure-free stretch.
  • Share the report as a PDF, or print it.
  • Keep the care plan matched to the one from your doctor. Photograph your action plan to fill it in, then check everything.
A 90-day report: number of seizures, a weekly chart and the longest seizure-free stretch.

Privacy

Private by design.

Everything you enter stays in Steady's storage on your phone. There's no account and no server that receives your information, and no ads, analytics or tracking. We can't see your seizure log, medications or contacts.

Read the privacy policy

Information leaves your phone only when you choose to:

  • text your contacts, from your messaging app
  • call for help, from your phone's dialer
  • share or print a report
  • save a backup file
